Specifically, there are no recommended months to do the Inca Trail, each time of the year has its own climate and the landscapes can be impressive and unforgettable with exotic rain or clear skies. But if you are one of the people who does not consider the Inca Trail as an adventure route, then to avoid the rains, the months from May to October are better. The jungle that the Inca Trail crosses always has brief rains typical of the area, but in the rainy season, these can last all day, so this is a brief guide for the best months:
February:
The Inca Trail is closed for maintenance and cleaning on the route.
November to April:
It is a season of intense rains, the weather is warmer and if you are lucky you will be able to see impressive landscapes between clouds and the radiant Incas Sun. Recommended for lovers of true adventure.
May to October:
The season is drier, the plants in the highlands dry up and the landscape can be somewhat yellow, it is colder, but the Incas Sun is powerful and heats everything from very early. Recommended for those who do not like rain and love clear skies.
